Gist: Hands down, Sri Lanka is one of the of most magnificent destination I’ve ever been to. Any itinerary there should include Kandy or it will be incomplete. Nestled in the center of the island, this city is a tropical oasis. Just when you thought you have reached a higher altitude you dip down into the Sacred City of Kandy, centered in a mountain canyon enveloping a huge lake lush with colorful vegetation. A magical sight to see in a country that is full of them.
