Hotel: Fox Hotel, Copenhagen, Denmark

This little hotel in the center of Denmark‘s capital doesn’t borrow from any other. It’s a boutique hotel that challenges every set rule of contemporary hotel decorum. Every room in the establishment is designed by an art student. The interiors vary from countryside chic to obsolete utalitarianism to gaudy kitsch. There’s something for everyone.

Although it does not have many facilities of a luxury hotel, its charm is not in its attempt at leveling with them but at providing an egalitarian experience that will give you a different, yet scrumptious angle of the inn’s aura, which is very Scandinavian in its demeanor.

The lobby is modern and doubles as a bar from pre-gaming or one-off events that the hotel hosts. The staff is friendly and, in true nordic fashion, you won’t find an over-enthusiastic concierge service or any unnecessary forms of servitude, which is what makes this hotel young, lively and locally-inclined.
